The Beginning
Hello! Welcome to the Invisible Wonders Project. I’m the Founder, and I’m… the founder of this project. This is going to be an exploration of the NFT space as a creative, coming from the perspective of a layman/everyman.
To give some backstory, I’m a digitally native artist, with my formal training focused on animation and visual effects for feature films. My early career involved working on big budget movies shot almost entirely on green screen. I lived the dream for a little while, but it was honestly not the best experience (That’s a story for another time). After working abroad, I did something else for a few years, before returning as an independent contractor. I completed a couple of projects before the Pandemic started, then like many gig workers, I saw my work drastically decrease. I filled the quarantine by updating my job skills, earning a certification in VR/AR development from Unity, and unfortunately designing a 750-hour super-island in Animal Crossing.
As with many crypto neophytes borne out of this period, all the free time also enabled me to learn about the space. My passion for the subject was really cemented during my research on NFTs. Although my initial excitement was in its utility for gaming, I did see the opportunities it could create for independent creators as a whole, and subsequently discovered crypto-native artists who inspired me.
Invisible Wonders is my creation, and will be positioned as a group of various artists each contributing their own unique works as NFTs. In reality, it’s just me. The main brand will be the launchpad for each “individual” artist who will create in their own style, which can range from 3D environments to 2D paintings and photo-realistic to cartoony. In this way, I have the creative freedom to make whatever I want, just switching from artist to artist as the spirit moves me.
Essentially, this is a meta look at everything. The Invisible Wonders Project is the documentation of my journey in the space as the figure behind the Invisible Wonders Group.
If I have a “roadmap” it’s pretty simple: Make art and get better at it everyday.
Lastly, I’m quite immersed in cryptocurrency and metaverse as an enthusiast, learner, and investor, so my insights and experiences involving the space as a whole will also be included.
